Champagne in the room, dinner for two in the Orangerie and breakfast in bed: two nights or more, with no hurry.

Behind an ivory façade, 55 rooms and suites stand a few steps from Maximilianstraße, the Isar and the Englischer Garten. A concierge and butler are on hand by day and by night.
In the hall a crystal chandelier lights the marble staircase and its brass balustrade. Beyond lie the Salon, with its fireplace and piano, a walnut-panelled library and an inner garden with box hedging and a fountain. At the top, the roof terrace looks over the green domes of the Frauenkirche and, when the föhn blows, the Alps.
Service follows the rhythm of the guest, not that of the house. The concierge and butler keep no hours, room service never closes, and in the evening the bed is turned down for the night. Pets are welcome too.

Twelve types, from 28 to 220 m²: rooms overlooking the courtyard or the rooftops, suites with a private terrace, a Penthouse with a heated pool. Guests also choose their own room number.

The Palais stands between the Lehel and the old town. On foot you reach Maximilianstraße and its shop windows, the Isar and the Englischer Garten, with the Eisbach and the Chinesischer Turm; a little further are the Residenz and the Hofgarten, Marienplatz and the Viktualienmarkt. Evenings belong to the Bayerische Staatsoper, days to the Pinakotheken. Beyond the city, the concierge arranges excursions to the lakes and the Alps.
Nights, breakfast, dinners and treatments gathered into packages that follow Munich’s seasons. The terms of each offer are set out plainly before you book.

“Two nights in a Deluxe City View room: the domes of the Frauenkirche from the little balcony, and warm bread at breakfast in the Orangerie. The staff were attentive without ever hovering.”
“A weekend with the children in the Family Suite: two bedrooms, a living room with board games and the spa pool open to the little ones during the day. At the front desk they already knew our children’s names.”
“Afternoon tea in the Salon with the piano in the corner, then a long hour in the library. The room was silent, the bed comfortable, and the choice of pillows genuinely made a difference.”
