Three tiers of crystal hang at the centre of the drawing room, beneath gilded plasterwork and royal-blue silk drapes that frame the arched windows. Two groups of ivory sofas face each other across the carpet, antique mirrors multiply the light, a grand piano fills one corner and, at the far end, a table for six is ready for private dinners served by the butler.
The master bedroom has a canopy bed hung with royal-blue and ivory silk, a velvet bench, two chandeliers and a marble fireplace. The bathroom, in white and grey veined marble, centres on a freestanding bath, with two vanities, a large shower with gold fittings and a full-length mirror.
